The Dental Assistant assists in surgical care and preparation of surgical patients by performing routine and delegated duties, according to the standards and policies of the practice.
The Dental Assistant is responsible for prepping the surgical patient and assisting the surgeon with Oral Surgery procedures, helping in the central sterile processing department, restocking supplies and changing over rooms between procedures.
Performs housekeeping duties as necessary and assists in ordering and maintenance of all supplies and equipment.
ONLY CANDIDATES WHO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED Minimum Job Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent Prior medical and or dental experience preferred Graduate of a formal dental assisting and/or surgical technology program or equivalent training.
Prior working experience as a Medical, Dental or Surgical Assistant preferred.
Has transportation.
BLS/CPR certification preferred.
Detail-oriented with ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds Bilingual a Plus This is a Part-Time position that may lead to a Full-Time position NO PHONE CALLS OR THIRD PARTY SOLICITATIONS Job Type:
